Letters to Loved Ones Who Passed On

From Kirk Duncan with 3 Key Elements: a dedicated journal for communicating with your loved one who passed on. Krissy wrote Mayzie’s name on hers and kept it in a special place.

Step by step

  1. Get a journal specifically for communicating with your loved one (or a dedicated note).
  2. Sit somewhere quiet and write to them—address all the things you wish you could say or wish you had said.
  3. Write the things you miss or love about them. Allow yourself to see them in your mind’s eye receiving it, because they really do hear you.
  4. After you’ve said everything, end the letter—then write any feelings, insights, or words you feel coming back to you from them.

If you’re struggling right now

You do not have to fix the whole night. Soften your body first. These breath practices are from Krissy’s toolbox (Breathwork).

Physiological Sigh

For instant stress relief: inhale deeply through your nose, sip a second sharp burst at the top, then long slow sigh out the mouth. Repeat 2 or 3 times.

Box Breathing

4-7-8
